Maintenance Assistant
Job Introduction
Some people see a lightbulb. You see peace of mind.
We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on, and quietly heroic Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Connaught Care—a luxury, all-inclusive care home group where the little details behind the scenes matter just as much as the ones on show.
With six beautifully designed homes open and six more on the way, Connaught is one of the UK’s most innovative and experience-led care providers. Our residents enjoy elegant surroundings, high-end service, and complete peace of mind. And your job? To keep that peace of mind running like clockwork.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep tasks across the home to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely
Respond to maintenance requests with urgency, professionalism, and a resident-first mindset
Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and regulatory standards (training provided)
Assist with equipment checks, room setups, and facilities upkeep across communal and private areas
Liaise with contractors when needed and provide support during site visits or inspections
Help maintain beautiful outdoor areas (weather permitting and depending on the home)
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in a maintenance, facilities, or caretaking role—ideally in a care, hotel or hospitality setting
A good working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, joinery, or general repairs
A calm, methodical approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and stay organised
A warm, resident-focused attitude—you’ll understand that a working radiator or fixed handrail can mean more than words
A sense of pride in keeping everything ticking over quietly and reliably
Why Connaught?
Because in a Connaught home, comfort isn’t just about care—it’s about confidence in the environment. Residents don’t need to think about flickering lights or leaking taps—and thanks to you, they won’t have to.
As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values the work you do—quietly, constantly, and with care. You’ll be trusted, appreciated, and encouraged to grow in a working environment that feels just as polished as the one you maintain.
Here, you’re not just fixing things. You’re helping residents Live a Life More Extraordinary—one quietly completed job at a time.
If you take pride in the details most people overlook and find satisfaction in making things work—beautifully, reliably, invisibly—we’d love to hear from you.
